Welcome to the Pony Pals Program!
Initiate your kiddos to the horse world with this 8 week program designed to build your child’s confidence and awareness.
Our program is a skill-based program promoting independance, confidence-building, concentration, balance and coordination skills and well as fun and games in and out of the saddle!
What to expect in our program?
A goal-based program
Follow your child’s progress with the Personal Progress Form as they learn basic horse knowledge, care, handling and riding skills.
On the ground, they will learn how to:
– identify the main parts and colours of a horse
– recognize a horse’s mood
– groom a horse
– lead a horse and put on a halter
– follow safety rules to respect in and around the barn
– identify the main tack used
– tack and untack a horse
On horseback the will learn how to:
– mount and dismount safely
– walking and halting a horse
– turning a horse
– slow down a horse
– execute 2 main arena figures
– find their balance
Frame your Certificate of Achievement!
At the end of each program, your child will receive a certificate of achievement.
